A twelve-step program is a set of guiding principles outlining a course of action for recovery from addiction, compulsion, or other behavioral problems. Originally proposed by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) as a method of recovery from alcoholism, the Twelve Steps were first published in the book, Alcoholics Anonymous: The Story of How More Than One Hundred Men Have Recovered From Alcoholism in 1939. The method was then adapted and became the foundation of other twelve-step programs such as Narcotics Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, Co-Dependents Anonymous and Debtors Anonymous. As summarized by the American Psychological Association, the process involves the following:

  • admitting that one cannot control one's addiction or compulsion;
  • recognizing a greater power that can give strength;
  • examining past errors with the help of a sponsor (experienced member);
  • making amends for these errors;
  • learning to live a new life with a new code of behavior;
  • helping others that suffer from the same addictions or compulsions.

Should bigots be forced into an intervention and undergo a Twelve Step Program to rid them of homophobia?
Q. FUCKIN' HELL. This question is a JOKE. A funny, whimsical joke to upset the bigots.

A. I don't know if we should exactly step down to their level, but somethings gotta give. And Legs wide open babe...I think thats your name, the one who qouted Leviticus, maybe you should quit going to church on Sunday, and then spitting out hate and hypocrisy throughout the other 6 days of the week, then asking for forgiveness that next Sunday. I am a former youth pastor, and gay. I still hold the powers in the State of Illinois (marry, bury, etc) and I have been to alot of seminars etc to know that Leviticus is for Israelites...in case you haven't noticed we aren't Israelites, even if we were your taking it out of context, the bible isn't a buffet where you find the scriptures that you can throw at everyone. Stop taking it out of context… [cont.]

Funny and interesting theory on Equate hpt?
Q. I woke up and immediately took the Equate hpt. Negative. 20 minutes later (could barely go...) positve! I think, I may have flooded the first...not sure what happened there. But, the second one blew me away because in just a few minutes (4-6) it was positive!? I'm an addict and probably need to join a twelve step program huh? Has this happened to anyone else and you were pregnant? These things can really make a woman crazy! J

A. I was addicted to POAS during my 2ww for about a year but I broke myself of that after seeing about 100 BFN's. So now I am scared to death to take one. I actually dread it. These things can make a woman go crazy and from one extreme to the other. Your urine may have been too diluted the first time. I would say you are pregnant!!! So Congrats and Best wishes!!!
