Q. I was trying to find out some info about using anonymous tip lines and I found this in a Q&A page of some police dept. "Q: If you give a tip anonymously but are identified anyway, can you be called to testify? A: Under very rare circumstances." So under "very rare circumstances" you MIGHT be identified even when using an "ANONYMOUS" tip line? And in court, do they tell you who ratted you out?
