Q. While reseting my irrigation timer after the power went out I noticed that two of my zones no longer show up on the timer so that I can set them. I checked the wiring at both the timer and the valve and both seem fine. What else might it be? Asked by pumpkin - Sat Jun 28 14:38:09 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. it ate them? my computer does that>eats entire random files. maybe try powering it down completely? to reset it. sometimes you can get stuff on the computer to reappear if you power down/maybe have to do it over and over again until it happens. If it is wired to the wall you might have to throw your circuit breaker to cut power. and or you can ask at a lawn forum maybe: this next place is for pros but there is a civilian help forum at the bottom of the page if you like forums, you can find them on anything (like seed swaps!). some large, some small, some non-commercial and some local (which is nice if u like to talk climate specifics). just add the word forum to ur searches. i don't have a lot of confidence in this next forum… [cont.] Answered by Cakes - Mon Jun 30 12:31:05 2008 How can one best utilize time zones to maximize the length of their birthday? Q. Let's assume you could start at 12 midnight at the point in the world that hits the new day first. How many stops would you need to make, to move through all the time zones to make that day as long as possible? How long would that day be? Thank you to all who answer. I am wildly impressed by your mathematical minds. Perhaps one of you can build me a time machine. ;) Asked by My Secret Identity - Mon Jan 26 11:26:26 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. To stay ahead of the sun you need to travel west faster than the sun moves through the sky. That would be about 1000 mph at the equator, less and less as you get near the poles. But still, given the speed of current airplanes of about 400~500mph, you would not be able to stop and party. A better plan would be to start your party in Siberia, Russia at 12.00am. Party until 11.59pm, then hop accross the pacific (and the date line) to Alaska USA (just a few short miles) where it would be 1.59am on your birthday. You arrive 10 minutes later and get another 22 hours of party for a total of 46. Or best yet would be to start in the Tonga Islands which by some weird plan are 13 hours ahead of GMT and then pop over to the Samoa Islands which are 10… [cont.] Answered by Piglet O - Mon Jan 26 11:47:32 2009 Does oyster charge you more if your start and end stops are in zone 3 but you have to travel through zones 1+2?
Q. I am travelling to work from a station in zone 3 to another stop in zone 3 via zones 1&2. Am i still allegible for the cheaper, zone 3 only oyster? Thanks, Asked by _generation - Sun Nov 8 13:37:49 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. No - you must pay for every zone you pass through, not just your start-end zones. Think of the bigger picture - if it was your way, someone could travel from Moor Park to Upminster and claim they only need pay for zone 6.
